Dr. Luis Schwarz is a medical oncologist trained at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, affiliated with Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, from which he graduated in 2010. From 2012 to 2017, he served as a postdoctoral fellow in translational oncology in Dr. Carlos Arteaga’s laboratory at Vanderbilt University in the United States. His research focused on the study of genes involved in therapeutic resistance in breast cancer. Dr. Schwarz has authored and contributed to publications in leading scientific journals such as Cancer Discovery, Cancer Research, and the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, among others. He is also an active member of several scientific societies in Peru and internationally.
Dr. Schwarz previously served as Head of the Scientific Research Department at Oncosalud-Auna and is currently the Coordinator of the Breast Pathologies Group at Clínica Internacional in Lima, Peru.
