Dr. Tibor G. Kovacs, MD, is Chief of Breast Surgery in the Digestive Disease Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Kovacs was Director of Breast Health, Chief of Breast Surgery at Jiahui International Hospital and Honorary Professor at Fudan University Cancer Centre, Shanghai, China.
Dr. Kovacs received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj, Romania. He completed his residency and Surgical Oncology fellowship at the National Institute of Oncology, Budapest, Hungary and a fellowship in Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery at the University Hospital of South Manchester, and Royal University Hospital Liverpool, UK.
Dr. Kovacs is a European Board Certified (FEBS) Surgical Oncologist and Breast Surgeon, a leading expert in breast cancer and reconstructive surgery with a vast experience in oncoplastic breast conservation, breast reconstruction and risk reduction breast surgery.
