Hiram S. Cody III MD, FACS
, is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed Surgical Residency at The Roosevelt Hospital in New York, and a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he is currently Attending Surgeon (Breast Service, Department of Surgery), Member (Memorial Hospital), and Professor of Surgery (Weill Cornell Medical College). His clinical research over the last 25 years has focused on the locoregional management of breast cancer, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and on the interplay between breast imaging, surgery, RT and systemic therapy. He a Past-President of the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group and Past-President of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He is Editor of the journal Breast Diseases and the multi-author textbook Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, serves on multiple editorial boards, reviews and lectures widely, and is the author of more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, editorials, book chapters and reviews.
