Dr. Bassim AL Bahrani, is a renowned Medical oncology in the Sultanate of Oman who was the previous Director of National oncology center. He has a vast experience in the field for over 25 years. Part time Consultant Medical Oncologist and chief operating officer at the Gulf International Cancer Center. Working as Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist, Royal Hospital Muscat, Oman, and a visiting Professor at the Postgraduate Program on Health Economics, Management and Policy at the University of Peloponnese in Corinth, Greece. Worked as the Director of the National Oncology Center, Oman, Royal Hospital Oman for 9 years until December 2018. Done his advanced training in Medical Oncology in Australia and earned a fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of physicians and surgeons of Glasgow and Ph.D. from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Chairman of the Ministry of Health Oman, and Royal Hospital Scientific and Research Committee, and deputy Chairman, Royal Hospital, Oman Scientific and Research Committee. Member of many Oncology associations, including the European Society of Medical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Gulf Federation for Cancer Control, and Medical Oncology group of Australia.
